Your details stay private

When someone scans your pet's tag, here is exactly what they can and can't see.

What a finder can see

  • Your pet's name, photo, breed, colour and sex
  • Medical notes and allergies (if you leave them on)
  • Your vet's name and phone (if you leave them on)
  • Lost Mode banner, your note for finders and any reward
  • A "Message the owner" form that sends their details to you
  • Your phone number — only if you switch on "Show phone to finders"
  • A "Return to suburb" line — only if you switch on "Show suburb"
  • Your emergency contact — only if you switch on "Show emergency contact"

What a finder can never see

  • Your home address
  • Your suburb or postcode (unless you switch on the suburb line)
  • Your email address
  • Your full name (only your first name is ever shown, and only to personalise the page)
  • Your pet’s microchip number
  • Your trusted people’s email addresses and phone numbers
  • Any other owner’s pets or details

Your phone, email and home address are never printed on the tag or shown to finders unless you switch them on. Finders reach you through B&O.

Locations shared by finders are visible only to the owner and their trusted people.
